Capitol Hill, Monrovia – The Chairman of the House Committee on Rules, Order, and Administration (ROA), Hon. James M. Kolleh, has taken on his oversight role with dedication as he inspected the ongoing renovation of the main chambers of the House of Representatives at the historic Capitol Building.

The renovation of the old main chamber—an iconic space where Liberia’s most important legislative decisions are made—marks a significant step toward strengthening the functionality and dignity of the 55th Legislature.

Hon. Kolleh’s inspection highlights his commitment to ensuring that the renovation process meets both structural standards and the symbolic value of the chambers, which serve as the heart of parliamentary debate and national decision-making.

The project, made possible through the instrumentality of House Speaker Hon. Richard Nagbe Koon and supported by the collective stewardship of the members of the 55th Legislature, represents a joint effort to modernize the House while preserving its legacy.

“The House of Representatives is not just a workplace; it is the people’s House. This renovation is about creating a more dignified, functional, and inspiring space where lawmakers can continue to serve the Liberian people,” Hon. Kolleh stated during his tour.

As renovation continues, the initiative stands as a reminder of the Legislature’s responsibility to uphold professionalism, transparency, and service in both its actions and its environment. Under the leadership of Speaker Koon and the commitment of Hon. Kolleh, the Capitol Building is steadily being transformed into a true symbol of democracy and national pride.
